Dancehall Queen Kaakie has given notice. She has given notice that she is currently focusing on preparations towards her final examinations at th School of Nursing, University of Ghana, and when she is done, she is coming back  to claim her place as the best female dancehall artiste in Ghana.
“So far as I am alive, I remain the best female dancehall artiste in Ghana and there is no competitor because the records are there to show”, she told Showbiz in a snap interview on Monday
“Almost all the songs I have released: Ewo, Too Much Toffee Pon Tongue, D.C Tun Up, Top Gal Tyme  and Kumkumcha have been hits”  Kaakie said with a lot of pride in her voice.
She said that while she has been away from the limelight, she has recognised that other much younger female dancehall artistes are doing well on the scene.

Mama Zimbi to host 6th National Widows Alliance Conference this June

Ace actress, broadcaster and multiple international award winner Akumaa Mama Zimbi, real name Joyce Akumaa Dongotey-Padi, has disclosed that the Widows Alliance Network (WANE) project for sustainable economic development of widows in Ghana, which is one of the projects undertaken by the Mama Zimbi Foundation (MZF), will hold its 6th National Widows Alliance Conference (NAWAC-2014) on Saturday, June 21st, 2014 at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, La with the theme “Empowering women through education”. This conference is also to celebrate the United Nations International Widows Day.
